These terms govern your access to and use of People Ledger, a personal borrowing and repayment record tool.
By accessing or using People Ledger, you agree to this User Agreement and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
If you use the app on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for them.
People Ledger helps you record personal borrowing and repayment relationships. Features may include:
People Ledger is a record keeping tool only. We do not provide loans, credit, cash advances, payment processing, debt collection, credit scoring, financial advice, legal advice, or repayment guarantees.
Any borrowing or repayment arrangement you record is solely between you and the relevant person. You are responsible for verifying amounts, dates, contacts, proof images, notes, and the legal or tax consequences of your own arrangements.
You must be legally able to use this app and accept this Agreement. The app is intended for adult users. If you are under the age required by applicable law, do not use People Ledger.
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe your account is used for fraud, abuse, legal violations, security risk, or violation of this Agreement.
You are responsible for the records, contacts, notes, locations, proof images, and other content you create or store in People Ledger.
Deleting the app, clearing app data, changing devices, or deleting your account may remove local records and proof images. We are not responsible for records you lose because of device failure, accidental deletion, or actions outside our control.
Some features require permission access. Contacts help you select a related person, camera and photos help you attach proof images, location helps you fill in a record location, and notifications help with reminders. If you deny a permission, the related feature may be limited, but manual alternatives may still be available.
You agree not to:
People Ledger, including its design, software, logos, text, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for lawful personal record keeping.
You retain ownership of the content you create, subject to the rights needed for us and our service providers to operate, secure, and support the app.
The app may rely on third-party services for messaging, analytics, attribution, crash diagnostics, maps or location support, hosting, security, and other operations. Your use of those features may also be subject to third-party terms and privacy practices.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some features may depend on your device, network, permissions, app version, operating system, and third-party services.
People Ledger is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement where permitted by law.
You are responsible for reviewing records before relying on them. The app does not verify whether a debt exists, whether repayment is due, or whether a proof image is legally sufficient.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business, arising from or related to your use of People Ledger.
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate this Agreement, create risk, or use the app in a way that may harm others, the app, or our services. Sections that by nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
We may update this Agreement from time to time. The updated version will show a new effective date. Continued use of People Ledger after an update means you accept the updated Agreement where permitted by law.
This Agreement will be interpreted according to applicable law. Nothing in this Agreement limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country or region.
